"You've done enough surviving. Let's make room for you to live..."  Kayleigh Fearn

For young adults (18–25)

Being between 18 and 25 can feel exciting, overwhelming, and confusing all at once. You might be finishing school, starting university, moving out, travelling, or stepping into the workforce for the first time. Alongside all of that, friendships, relationships, and independence are changing and that can bring up a lot.

If you’re neurodivergent, this stage can also highlight challenges that have been there for years but never fully understood, like:

  • struggling with routine or self-care without structure

  • difficulty organising studies or managing deadlines

  • overwhelm in new social environments or accommodation

  • anxiety about transitions, expectations, or identity

  • masking to fit in and feeling exhausted by it

  • low confidence after years of feeling “too much” or “not enough”

  • feeling misunderstood by friends, family, tutors, or employers

You might feel lost, behind, or unsure where you fit, especially if a recent diagnosis or self-discovery has reframed your past. Therapy can be a space to pause, understand yourself, and move forward in a way that makes sense for you.

For adults navigating life, work, identity & diagnosis

Adult life can be demanding for anyone but for many neurodivergent adults, the load can feel heavier. You may be:

  • newly diagnosed and processing what that means

  • undiagnosed but recognising traits in yourself now

  • burnt out from years of pushing through without support

  • overwhelmed by responsibilities at home or work

  • struggling with emotional regulation, rejection sensitivity, or sensory overload

  • stuck between wanting to do more and having no capacity left

  • grieving missed support or misunderstood childhood experiences

Therapy can help you make sense of all of this.

For professionals & workplace challenges

Workplaces aren’t always built with neurodivergent minds in mind. Many of the adults I support are professionals who are:

  • excellent at their job but struggling behind the scenes

  • exhausted by meetings, communication demands, or constant transitions

  • overwhelmed by workload, admin, or perfectionism

  • socially masking at work and crashing at home

  • terrified of being “found out” or judged

  • experiencing repeated burnout

  • out of work or between jobs because it’s all become too much

You may feel competent in your skills but lost in the systems around you, the expectations, the pace, the office politics, the “just do it like this” approach. Therapy can help you understand why this is hard and find ways to work with your brain, not against it.

If you’re out of work or struggling to get started

You may also be someone who is:

  • out of work and doesn’t know how to begin again

  • overwhelmed by applications and interviews

  • terrified of failing or being misunderstood again

  • grieving past workplace harm or burnout

  • questioning if they will ever find a place they can thrive

None of this makes you lazy or unmotivated. It means your nervous system is trying to protect you. Therapy can help untangle that and build safety, confidence, and direction at your pace.

What therapy can offer

This is a space where:

  • you don’t have to mask or perform

  • stimming, fidgeting, pausing, and redirecting are welcome here

  • your communication style is respected

  • goals are flexible

  • your identity is seen, not questioned

  • you can explore strategies that suit your brain

Together, we can explore:

  • identity after late diagnosis or self-discovery

  • emotional regulation, overwhelm, and shutdown

  • boundaries, communication, and nervous system support

  • perfectionism, shame, and internalised ableism

  • self-worth, confidence, and values

You’re not “behind”. You’re not “too much”.

You’re a human being who deserves support that understands the way you think, feel, and experience the world.

If any part of this feels familiar, even if you can’t describe it yet, you’re welcome here.

I offer a free 15-minute consultation so you can ask questions, get a feel for what therapy might be like with me, and decide if it feels like the right fit.
